Vtg Dortmunder Hansa German Salt Glazed Stoneware Beer Stein Mug

Description

This mug has some chips and cracks, but they do not affect the sturdiness of the mug. I believe it is hand-thrown, and there is no maker’s mark. The handle is securely attached, and does not have any movement to it (see photos for crack at bottom of handle). The bump on the side of the mug, near the handle, and the small chip on the rim appear to be flaws that were there at the firing, since there is glaze on parts of both of them (see photos). There is a crack, approximately 1 inch (2.5cm) long at the top (see photo). It appears to have been there quite some time, due to yellowing. This is an old mug.
