vintage picture of sailor done on translucent paper showing image on each side

Description

Here is a vintage
picture of an unidentified sailor presented on a translucent paper, which allows light to pass through and the image to appear on each side.   I am unsure if it was a photograph printed on this paper and colorized, or if it was a copy of a portrait picture in some kind of pigment.  The picture measures about 10 X 8 inches.  It is not signed and has been preserved under a waxed paper cover.
