Vintage HECHO EN Mexico Abalone Shell Hinged Trinket Box

Description

Vintage Abalone Shell Trinket Box, marked Made in Mexico in Spanish. I thought it might be a pill box at first, but without a latch on the hinged lid it was likely meant as a small trinket box.
It measures approximately 2 1/4 inches long, 1 1/2 inches wide and 3/4 inch tall.
Condition: Very good used condition. As pictured.
