Vintage Hand Made Round rag Rug hand crocheted

This was made and kept by a lady from the Virginia and southern Maryland area, and who lived to age 100! Her grand-daughter-in-law has shared that she stopped making them in the 1960's
This is the perfect rug for the modern decorator who is looking for all the charm of a handmade heirloom that's not only attractive and versatile, but can handle the wear of today's living. The fabric and the colors are in excellent new condition, and should remain intact for a lifetime, provided they are kept from direct sunlight and the goes with a variety of decors and color schemes, including cottage or country styles, traditional, transitional, Shaker or early American homes, as well as kitchen, bath, summer kitchens, and recreation areas of Victorian homes. It would be equally charming in beach, country, or mountain homes and cottages that are decorated in vintage decor.
The riot of colors used in this happy rug are vibrant, crisp and bright!
It is rugged and heavy, and the fabric is still strong and intact, with no thinning spots, catches, etc., and the reverse side is every bit as bright and clean as the front. (Photo #3 shows reverse side).
There are no odors, stains, tears, holes, and so forth.
Round in shape, measuring 41" across.
To clean, hand wash ih cool water or in a front load machine on the "hand wash" cycle. Rinse well, machine spin, lay flat to dry in a well ventillated area, (out of direct sunlight).
