Vintage Guatamalan Hand Woven Basket box with lid  from  natural paja fiber and cotton thick thread.
Can you appreciate a piece of art from the lovely hard working women from Guatemala?  This special piece is truly art.  Not some cheap plastic basket or box.
It's surely a piece one can place on a desk with little wrapped candies , in a bedroom for  vitamin bottles or even something  like hair ties and head scarves.
The basket was never used and was in a Hutch in a non smoking home.
This lovely basket can be used as a unique pretty   GIFT  BOX.  It has a lid that fits perfectly.

The beautiful artisan woman in Guatamala  draw their inspiration from the beauty amd elegance of women when designing each of their pieces.  This basket was given to our family in the late 1970's  from a family member who traveled and taught in Guatemala.
The  basket has each side hand embroiderd with  two differing flowers of pinks amd yellow.  The lid has the same colors.
Perfect for a gift and  you'll know your  loved one would enjoy using the pretty handmade basket to hold scarves,  hair ties , pill bottles, or anything.  Just a pretty unique piece of art.
