Vintage German Beer Stein with Lid. The lid is NOT made of pewter. Inside the lid is a patent or copyright mark, NOT a maker’s marks, DBGM Deutsches Bundes-Gebrauchsmuster.

. There is another lid stamp SRM, I do not know what that means. There are no maker’s mark on the stein base. The stein has been decorated
with historical features
of the cities: Frankfurt, Heidelberg, Kaiserslautern, Garmisch-Partk., München, Berchtesgaden. The center piece has a picturesque Alp mountainous scene overlooking the Berchtesgaden city. The stein is in great condition and looks like it has never been used. Stein does have very small "Craquelures" due to ceramic glaze age and a black dot above the centerpiece probably from stein fabrication. Dimensions: H: 9-1/4”; W: 5-1/8”. Stein would be an excellent gift for an Army Soldier due to all the cities listed had Army Garrisons at one time.
