The "Muskrat"
— This unusually shaped knife is unbelievably effective for skinning and fleshing. The razor sharp edge extends completely around the rounded edge and along the top side for one inch. This allows the user to skin very quickly with the knife by cutting in both directions with a quick flick of the wrist. The rounded point is also much less likely to accidentally cut through the skin of a valuable cape than is a very sharp pointed blade. This is especially important for a professional outfitter, a guide, or a hunter who wants to keep the skin or cape for tanning or mounting. The thin .080" thick blade is D-2 tool steel and holds an incredible edge. Each knife comes with an oiled leather sheath.

Knives of Alaska are one of my top lines along with Muela & Linder , but I believe the K.O.A. are a better buy the material they use is all top of the line and they are hand made right here in the states. These run from . to 5. depending on which you want but the . dollar knives are some of the best sellers 160FG , 161FG plus the 014FG its a little more +. but I'd compare it with any high dollar name brand. If you go up to the next price range and look at a 158FG for what you spend you will get one fantastic knife and the beauty of all of our knives is you have 30 days to decide if you think they are worth the monies..
when we place an order it takes 30 to 60 days to get it, these knives are made when ordered K.O.A. doesn't stock any, we just got an order in on 12/8/18 and I have already placed another one, we are doing our best not to sell out of any knife but the way these sell I could have 10 of these Muskrat's and not sell one for weeks then sell out in two or three days.
