Jake named this knife the Sumo because once you see a Sumo up close and in person, it's not something you'll soon forget! What makes this knife unforgettable is that it's a button lock with multiple opening options! You can open with thumb studs, you can use the miniature hidden tab, and you can also use the pocket on the blade to open this knife. And finally...you can depress the button and swing the blade open with a little wrist action. The goal was to lighten this beast while keeping it amazingly strong, so it is 3D-machined inside and out. This is Jake's first button lock, and you'd think he'd been doing it all his life. The Sumo is a departure from the norm for Hoback Knives yet we think it's such a solid competitor in its size bracket that it should become a mainstream design.
