Very high quality vintage signed photograph of Jim Thorpe, autographed in 1940.
This terrific matte finish photo shows this great, all-around athlete wearing an impressive Native American headdress.
Inscribed and signed in black fountain pen in the lower left quarter.  8/10 overall.
The 8x10 image is pretty clean, with only a trivial tear at the lower portion of the bottom right edge.
Has a fine appearance to it.  Overall excellent condition.
Jim Thorpe autographed photos are extremely difficult to find; I have been involved in the hobby since the 1980's and only possessed one other.  He won two gold medals in the 1912 Summer Olympics; played professional baseball for the New York Giants and is a charter member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
In a PSA/DNA Authentic holder, graded 8, it also comes with a letter of authenticity from PSA.
