This listing is for a wonderful Chinese "Shoushan" Foo Dog stone seal.
This nice large seal features intricate detail in the carving of a Foo Dog with pup with excellent handmade workmanship.  The Shoushan stone is smooth in texture and rich in tone.
The stone is said to contain a large amount of micro-elements which are beneficial to the human body.  The Shoushan village of Fuzhou in the Fujian Province is the only place that produces these Shoushan stones. The stones are processed according to their different materials.
This nice seal is in excellent condition with only a couple of small no-harm knicks on edge which is very common on these old pieces (see photos).
Measures 6" high and 1 7/8" square.
