    History can be so fascinating, I am a vintage clothing dealer, so materials can hold a world of knowledge. I have seen these small hook rugs, over the years, and thought were would you use these small rugs, well I found out not long ago, that these small rugs were used on the large dining room tables for every day use, so your flowers, vases, or center pieces would not mar your beautiful wood, the elegant linen tablecloths were used for company. I live in old historical district with lots of Victorian homes. This is in good vintage condition, color is faded, see other side for original color, binding appears newer.
