Antique Chinese Marble/Soapstone Hand-carved FooDog  with her baby Foo's, Oversized Chop Seal Stamp. Rare!
Very Fine Antique Chinese Soapstone Carved Seal.
It has Chinese writing on the front, Amazing detail.
Very large!   It is 7 1/2" high and 2" square and weighs over 3 lbs!
It is in very good condition, there are some minor cracks and chips. please refer to all pictures.
This item is from a private collection that has been passed down through generations from at least the mid-1800’s when the family was wealthy with trading and entrepreneurial endeavors. There are many items from travels to Asia, Egypt and Europe. Due to misfortunes of untimely death and mental illness in the mid 1900’s, the family became more middle class. In the early 1980’s, many things were put in storage and largely forgotten. As we get the old house ready to sell, we are now sifting through the stored items and will post them as we research and photograph them.
We hope to bring them out of the boxes and get them back into the world where people can enjoy them again.
