This 2016 Chevrolet COPO Camaro is one of just 69 examples produced in 2016 and is specially optioned with the supercharged 350 CI V-8 engine, a unit that is the highest horsepower-output engine available through the COPO program.  Be advised that this is a race car specifically built to participate in the NHRA Stock Eliminator and Super Stock class and is not street legal.  The COPO moniker is an acronym for Central Office Production Order, a program available to participating Chevrolet dealers to order specialized and focused vehicles with equipment that falls outside of the regular-production option menu.  This 2016 COPO Camaro is a true competition car.  To meet strict safety regulations to compete at 9-second quarter-mile times, all COPOs come standard with an NHRA-approved chrome moly roll cage, racing bucket seats, a driveshaft safety hoop, 3-inch seat belts, a carbon-fiber hood and wheelie bars.  The entire independent rear suspension from a production Camaro has been replaced with a 4-link live rear-axle setup with a panhard rod and stabilizer bar that is ideally suited for drag racing.  The 350 cubic-inch engine is made of a cast-iron block with aluminum-head construction.  The cylinder heads are LS7-inspired CNC-machined units and the entire valvetrain is of roller design.  Forced induction is handled by a Whipple supercharger with final connections via the performance three-speed automatic transmission and Strange axle stuffed with 4.10 rear gears to assist putting the massive power to the pavement.  The wheels and tires have the Pro Stock vibe with wide 10.25-inch rear slicks and narrow 4-inch-wide front tires.  It all adds up to one superb and modern COPO Camaro.   Also included is a full-on race ready Aeromotive fuel system, lightweight suspension components, line-lock and the NHRA mandated engine cutoff switch.  These very special and very rare factory prepped race cars do not come up for sale too often - so do not miss your chance to experience this Camaro COPO, of course, at a quarter mile at a time!
