Vehicle Details
2002 Chevrolet Express 1500 5.7 Gulfstream Hightop Van. We purchased the van in 2007 on eBay with 61,000 miles on it. This was a theft recovery. The thieves removed all the seats and electric couch/bed. That was great for us since we were looking for a Hightop Van to convert into to a camper van.
We built two couches with a table that converts into a large bed with lots of storage underneath. Screens in the windows work great for ventilation. Has cell shades and a regular RV windshield cover for complete privacy.
Kitchen area has hand built cupboards with sink, micro and fridge. Many cubbies and TV above. Also a built-in by the side door and between the front seats.
All mechanical components have been maintained and work well. Easy to drive and rides nicely.
There are a few small bumps and beanks around on the body but overall a very nice looking van.
We have had a lot of fun in our van but are now too old to travel. Time for someone else to have the enjoyment and freedom of the open road!
