Here is a sharp 2002 Corvette with only 24,000 miles and a spotless Autocheck report. It has everything that makes the C5 generation such a desirable model, with all the performance you’d expect from America’s sports car. Still, despite a 350hp LS1 engine, it can achieve almost 30mpg on the highway while providing more space and comfort than people might expect.
This Quicksilver example has a sleek look that is nicely contrasted by the dark translucent roof panel. As with all C5 coupes, this panel is removable and stores easily in the rear compartment. This Corvette also has factory polished aluminum wheels (17” front, 18” rear) wearing 1-year-old BF Goodrich tires. Note this car is completely stock except for a Corsa exhaust and K&N air filter.
The engine is Chevrolet’s aluminum LS1 producing 350 hp, while the rear mounted transmission is the 4L60E 4-speed automatic overdrive feeding a 2.73 rear axle. The C5 offers great handling with a fully independent suspension, yet it is surprisingly comfortable on the highway. The disc brakes with dynamic proportioning provide safe stopping power at any speed. And of course this Corvette has fantastic acceleration and can deliver low 13-second quarter mile times.
The black leather interior looks fantastic, as expected from such a low-mileage car. This one is equipped with the 1SB package that includes dual power seats, dual zone climate control, fog lamps, memory package, and a luggage / parcel shade. Everything is in excellent condition. There is also a tilt steering column topped by a leather wrapped wheel. The factory AM/FM/CD stereo with six speakers and windshield antenna provides a nice sound, and the owner’s manual is present as well.
The C5 Corvette continues to be a great sports car bargain. Further, many of our customers prefer this generation over the newer, smaller Corvettes.
