1955 Chevrolet Panel Truck
A panel truck in U.S. and Canadian usage is a small delivery truck with a fully enclosed body. It typically is high and has no rear windows in the rear cargo area. The term was first used in the early 1910s. Panel trucks were marketed for contracting, deliveries, and other businesses. Often described as a small van, (based on the chassis of a truck or pickup truck, and not a sedan which yields a sedan delivery), used mostly for delivery rounds, the British equivalent is a "delivery van."

Exterior
In keeping in tune with the original GM styling, the front grille is original but has been painted denim blue, along with the remainder of the lower sections and fenders of this truck. A shiny curved simple bumper remains in front and is framing the lower part of this artwork front end. A single round headlight adorns each rounded bumper, and these are highlighted by a shiny bezel. The tall rounded bulbous hood bathed in yellow like the remainder of the upper truck is sealed with a kiss with a large lip's graphic on the driver's side but showing some age and roughness of the paint. Black trimmings surround the glass and some newer black side view mirrors grace the fronts of the doors. On either side of the enclosed bed the exterior panels have been left white for your name here company graphics. The same is on the back with a retro graphic panel for more information to be painted or wrapped on. A running board in black runs along the rocker, and melts into a rear fender which is mostly buried into the sides of this panel truck. In back dual doors swing apart to allow full access to the rear cargo area. The rear bumper has been shaved and aftermarket taillights are now on the rear roll pan. In the center we note 4 exhaust exits, and above the doors is a CHMSL on top. Weld 15-inch wheels are on all 4 corners and in front wrapped by 205/65R15's and in back 275/60R15's.
Interior
A swing of the back doors open up into a panel van heaven for cargo and looks. The floor utilizes oak planks that have been finished to the nines with shines, and darker wood strips are between the planks. The entire side and roof along with the interior wheel wells are covered in a gray tweed material which has a few "sunray" angled embossed lines within the felt on either side. The rear door panels have this graphic as well and are also covered in the gray tweed. As for the front doors they have the embossed lines and gray tweed, and shiny actuator lever and bakelite knobbed window crank. Moving inside some late model gray vinyl covered buckets are now in, and these are similar to captain's chairs however they do not swivel, but provide the same comfort. The dash is also in tweed holding true for the dash front and dash top. 2 large Dolphin white faced gauges are in front of the rally steering wheel, and some extra knobs and pulls are seen, along with a Pioneer AM/FM/CD stereo and a chromed small glove box door in front of the passenger side. More gray tweed for the headliner, which is nice and tight, and all the front floors are flooded with gray short pile carpeting looking like the tweed!
Drivetrain
Under the hood is a 350ci V8 and is topped with an Edelbrock 4-barrel carb and intake courtesy Edelbrock as well. On the back is a TH350 3-speed automatic which pushes power rearward to a 10-bolt rear axle. Things are all looking good in this restored engine bay.
Undercarriage
All fully restored with nice black painted frame and floor pans with no rust. A new battery box is under here, and we note independent coil springs for the front suspension, and leaf springs with yellow shocks for the rear. A glass pack style exhaust is on and looks like new.
Drive-Ability
A quick starter and fine performer on the test track. Save for the gas gauge which the consigner states is inaccurate, all was working just fine.
This two tone hot rodded panel delivery is not your grandfather's delivery truck anymore. It now has reliability with the new crate engine, and new transmission. It has tweed and speckled gray carpeting for the cockpit area, and a beautiful 2 toned wood rear cargo bed, with more tweed for the side panels. Plenty of space for the business name to be slathered on, and just think of the promotional possibilities when you show up with the customers repaired TV in this baby! SWAK...

Vehicle Pickup & Shipping:
All shipping charges are buyer's responsibility unless otherwise documented in sales agreement.
Deposit:
Buyer must contact us within 24 hours of accepted offer, and make arrangements for payment at that time. A 0 deposit is due within 48 hours of listings end to secure the vehicle.
Payment of Balance Due:
The remainder is due (plus applicable fees and taxes) within 7 days. If no contact is made within 24 hours we reserve the right to re-list the vehicle or sell it otherwise. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle.
Additional Fees and Taxes:
All Pennsylvania residents must pay applicable state and local tax, title and license fees. Out of state buyers are responsible for their own state taxes and fees. Out of state buyers are responsible for all state, county, city taxes and fees, as well as title/registration fees in the state that the vehicle will be registered.
Shipping:
The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges unless otherwise documented on the sales agreement.  We will assist the buyer with finding a shipping company. We assume no responsibility for damages incurred after leaving our premises. If the vehicle is going to be shipped, full payment must be received before the vehicle is delivered to the shipping company.
