A proof 1871 key date three cent silver piece graded PR 63 by PCGS. This proof issue coin holds an exceptional quality strike with heavily toned original surfaces. A proof issue coin that is harder to come by in this 'affordable' grade level. It has been housed in a PCGS Secure Label Holder.
This proof coin holds a tiny mintage of only 960. However, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that 750 have survived in all grades today. It is one of only 87 graded Proof 63 by PCGS.
