    Description

    I am offering a rare 1855 three cent silver piece for sale! Only 139,000 pieces were made that year, making this hard to find in any condition. The star is almost completely outlined three times, with nearly all of the lines in the shield completely separated. Most
    letters of "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" can be made out and the 855 in the date is bold. The reverse has decent detail, with most of the stars visible, as well as the leaves and arrows, and numeral III.  This coin does not appear to be cleaned to me and has a rich charcoal grey color. Unfortunately, this coin has been holed at some point, and is bent in several places.
