    Description

1852 over inverted 1 US Silver 3-Cent Piece very rare coin VG-F.
This is one of the rarest varieties in US coins so infrequently identified because of the small size of the coin and soft nature of the silver used. Look at the greatly magnified images of the date and note the partial image of the bottom of a “1” showing at the top and left side of the “2” in the date and the remnants of an image of a “1” extending downward through the loop of the “2” in the date and then slightly below the bottom of the “2”. Red Book values for this variety are extremely high.
