    1851 Three Cent Silver, Almost Uncirculated. An original AU example of the first year of the “Trime” issue, with classic slightly “greasy” looking greenish-gray color. The minor weakness at the center of the Shield is common due to deficiencies in planchet preparation as well as the Mint learning to properly strike such a small coin.
